Senate 31 Club

Permian Basin • Amarillo

Founded by former State Senator Bill Sarpalius who represented Senate District 31 from 1981-1989, the SD 31 Club has been providing an effective forum for active constituents in SD 31 for more than 25 years. Membership is diverse in age, gender, and profession and includes community leaders and volunteers, bankers, small business owners, lawyers, farmers and ranchers, physicians, and people from the oil and gas industry.

Members of the SD 31 Club get the opportunity to hear legislative updates, discuss topics important to our community and state, and interact directly with their state Senator, other elected officials, and community and state leaders from a variety of positions. Members get to attend four luncheons per year. Recent speakers have include Tom Suehs (Heath and Human Services Commissioner), Representative Warren Chisum (also candidate for Railroad Commissioner), and Kent Satterwhite, executive director of Canadian River Municipal Water Authority.

Kel is very involved with the Club. He attends and speaks at each luncheon and also recruits guest speakers. He also always allows time for a question and answer session following every program.

Contact Kel’s office for membership information by emailing or by calling the campaign hotline at (432) 528-9427.
